I normally host from my house in Texas, but I'm travelling around former USSR for 6 weeks before I move to NYC in late August.

Hosting and meeting up for coffee/beer/arm wrestling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I can get busy with work, so I sometimes don't check my personal email on a daily basis. If you are couchsurfing at my house, you might have to pester me on my phone 24 hours before you arrive until you get a response from me, just to make sure I'm aware that you're going to arrive!

兴趣

Travel, Living in other countries, politics, art, history (especially reading up on the history of other cultures. I read up mostly on history on the last 200 years), camping, hiking, etc. I'm an extremely curious person, and I try to dedicate a good part of my disposable time to satisfying that unquenchable interest. Also been brewing beer, with some couchsurfers at times helping out and enjoying the end result.

I've got picky movie tastes of all sorts, but for some reason, zombie movies always are a sure shot for me. But I usually search out a good smattering of foreign and Indy films (recently have really enjoyed Fatih Akin's movies and inevitably found myself absolutely addicted to the Wire after the first bite.) Also picky with music, but there's a smorgasboard of interests (been really getting into lowendtheory/brainfeeder/hyperdub/luckyme collectives in the last couple of years. Thinking about going back to Coachella this year. Used to go to ACL festival, but its been too milk toast in the last few years.) Read alot of periodicals and mostly non-fiction books. Trying to brush up on my Greek and Norse myths.
