Here are some easy to get tips I can share about my town, so you do not even have to ask for:

At "Luz" Subway station:
- Pinacoteca do Estado (painting and sculpture gallery - nice architecture too)
- Museu da Lingua Portuguesa (Museum of Portuguese Language)
- Estação da Luz (18th century train station all rebuild)

At Parque do Ibirapuera (there are no subways around :( , but it is worth it! )
- The park properly
- The bienal of art pavilion
- MAM (Museum of Modern Art)
- OCA (Museum - check the exhibition schedule before going)

At São Bento Subway Station
- R. 25 de Março - To the ladies who want to by costume jewelry - the most famous street in the country
- Mercado Municipal ( Public Market - nice architecture and good street food - you should try the "pastel de bacalhau" or the "Sanduíche de mortadela". There are many native fruits been selling there too.

At Sé Subway Station
- Catedral e Praça da Sé (cathedral and park)

At República Subway Station
- Edifício Itália - sight seen of São Paulo

At MASP or Brigadeiro Subway Station
- Paulista Avenue - our center of finances and business
- MASP (art museum - not sure what is going on right now)
- Itau Cultural (art exhibition)
- Casa das Rosas (poetry and literature - beautiful garden).
- R. Oscar Freire (most fancy street for shopping in town, with nice fancy restaurantes too)

At Faria Lima Subway station
- Traço de União (gafieira and samba dancing place. Very good music alive. They serve "feijoada" on Saturdays for lunch)

To have fun
- Many, many stuff... for every different style! Now you will have to ask!

What you have to eat
- Feijoada (our main dish. Mandatory!)
- Coxinha (very fat chicken snack. So good!
- Pão de queijo (cheese bread for snack or breakfast)
- Brigadeiro ( very fat and delicious chocolate candy)
- Churrasco (steak house "gaúcho" style - origin in the south of the country)
- Pastel with caldo de cana

What you have to drink
- Caipirinha with cachaça - pick your fruit and be happy! But do not drink too much or you will be TOO happy : )
