ABOUT ME

In Summer 2006 I finally made the decision to pack and travel the world with Andy, my dearest scouser. Though a very hard one it was one of the best decisions we have ever made.

PHILOSOPHY

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are now long back from our RTW trip and still digesting it :) I keep on saying a piece of me never came back really :) On the way we had a great lesson in hospitality - so it is now our turn to share.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was very lucky to have had the most amazing time with people all over the world thank to Hospitality club. On my way I also have met a lot of very enthusiastic CouchSurfing members. They convinced me to give it a try so here I am.

Firstly, I love anything about food. Trying it, buying it and cooking it takes most of my free time. However, I also enjoy horse riding, scuba diving and of course travelling.

音乐、电影和书籍

Before my travels I liked to occupy my mind with "easy" literature. Now having all the time in the world ;) I much more enjoy books that teach me something. My last favourite - Wild Swans. An amazing biography of three female generations of China.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Andy, my boyfriend, and I treked through Torres Del Paine in the south of Chile. These 80 kilometers were unforgettable - breathtaking scenery and a physical challange. The sense of achievement after 6 days walking with everything you need on your back was just out of this world.

I can introduce you to the passion for food and help you to cook and bake some basic stuff.

Also, having been through the whole planning and preparing for a world trip I can help you with any questions you might have, e.g. Round The World tickets, how to save money while traveling, security precautions, what to pack, etc... As it is/was such a unique experience for me I would love to help anyone to make that step.
