About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to have joyyful encounters

ABOUT ME

I love passion in life, be it music, art, dance, watching people do what they love. I am thrilled to learn new things and love to help when I am able. I am a joyous, funny person.

PHILOSOPHY

ask me again when I am 98 years old and I'm sure I'll have it figured out by then!

ps-I'm the one on the left.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As soon as I get a couch (and a place to live-I'm in the middle of a move-) it is yours! I am a firm believer in intentional communities and more connection between communites all over the world, this is just one way to bridge people together

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ireland, meeting a few folks in a pub and staying a week up in the hills with nature, staying at the grove as well, so spiritual and relaxing, I got to help out with plays and art projects. traveling throughout Europe with a backpack and meeting people along the way, I have such fond memeories.

Interests

I love traveling and meeting people. Nature is a big draw for me and I am an avid observer of life. I love art of all kinds, spirituality, intentional communities, burning man, the uniqueness that is the land

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:I am ecclectic in my likes, from the boolocks to verdi, my current favorite song is "sound of strings" by mortal coil and "La Pour Ca" from Nada Surf.

Books: "the Art Spirit" by Henri is brilliant, as is Da Vinci's personal notebooks transcribed. "The Seth Material" I find fancinating and "Alice in Wonderland" the original by Lewis Carroll

Movies:wow, that's a hard one, I just stumbled on "Serenity" and found it quite enjoyable. "Libertine" was intriguing for the older loves "Rosencranz and Guildenstein are dead" is always amusing as is "The Princes Bride" "MirrorMask" by Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean was a visual playground.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Blue Grotto by Corfu, I went when I was a child but it's one of the most important memories to me. I saw how color can move and change, how it takes on a life of it's own and decided then that I wanted to be an artist so I could always have this in my life. (it's a cave out in the ocean that you get to by a very small boat, the water is so clear that the sunlight reflects -I believe- off of the oceans floor and illuminates the inside of the rock with the most intense and amazing blue)

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn everything!
For teaching, I can teach anyone, absolutely anyone to draw. Give me an hour and you'll be drawing better. (art does not need to be an unatainable mystery)
I can teach how to spin staff (I'm a firedancer) I am also great at fire safety (so don't worry I don't spin fire around anyones house)

What I Can Share with Hosts

joy, a drama-free, happy experience, art!
