ABOUT ME
Hmmm. I am a 25 year-old, fun-loving, open, queer lady about to be on the move again. Spent the past two years teaching and drinking way too much coffee in my beloved city of Portland, OR. I'm very laidback, honest, and down for (almost) anything. I like to take my time in life and not plan anything too much. My ideal day includes a bike ride, swimming, cracking jokes with my buds, an americano, a piece of pie and a mimosa. Followed by a dance party.
PHILOSOPHY
"Hurry is not in my vocabulary." -my dad
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been a negligent CSer the past couple of years because my house has already been a hotel in its own right. But I've had plenty of awesome (and hilarious) couchsurfing experiences and excited for many more to come.

Music, Movies, and Books
I just wanna daaance
I really like reading books. I don't really like listing them.
Right now I am reading Bossypants by Tina Fey, because I am in love with her and I'm not into heavy reading at the moment.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was a doula for my first birth a few months ago. As the baby was being born, Sigur Ros was playing, we were all tearing up...it was pretty surreal. Even though you know what's about to happen, for some reason it's still a little surprising to see a tiny human being come out of another human being.
Listening to a middle-aged Peul Fouta woman tell me about birthing 11 sons, completely alone in a mud hut, each in the middle of the night. After she had given birth, she would yell to one of her other children, "Go tell your father it's a boy!"
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to pretend like I'm a doctor.
I'm not really. I have taught women's health classes, and I like talking about those things.
I've been learning to breakdance. I'm not the worst.
