About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To ask questions.

ABOUT ME

I love to learn, especially through conversation, adventures and meeting new people. A nomadic life sounds the most alluring.

PHILOSOPHY

Why stay stagnant when there's so much to see and learn?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have not had a couch to offer travelers yet, but bare with me, and I will return the amazing hospitality and couches I've received in time. The most I can offer now is my energetic optimism and praise- especially for the CS Project.

Interests

reading, singing, dancing, juggling, going on random and unexpected adventures, science, math, experiments, conjectures, my notebook of questions.

Music, Movies, and Books

BOOKS: Lord of the Rings, a Brave New World, Cat's Cradle, Adrift, the Visual Display of Quantitative Information, the Life of Pi, Proofs from The Book are among my favorites. I like mostly sci fi, non-fiction, science and math books.
MUSIC: everything that has meaning behind it. I love music and can really find what is to like behind anything decent.
MOVIES: I'm open to a lot of movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Ireland, when I was with my brother, we went to this church and under it, there were crypts. A few of the coffins were open and we got to touch the oldest of the mummies! (They were mummies because the crypts were always dry, the same temperature, the walls were made of sandstone and excreted methane which basically mummified an 800 year old dead crusader.) I got to shake his hand for good luck!

Teach, Learn, Share

The word "teaching" sounds like a one-way highway from teacher to student. It's not. Or if it is, that's mighty dull. I'll share something with you if you share something back.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom
