About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travelling before going back to Canada
ABOUT ME
i am probably non stop talking. you can stop me if you put a saxofon in my mouth. (editor's comment: that may have been true at one point. however, as I am getting older, I am getting calmer.)
i guess music, literature and art is my life. although i am neither picasso nor kafka nor charlie parker. (editor's comment: still mostly accurate.)
PHILOSOPHY
my philosophy is to be spontaneous. or at least i like to think i am.
and onces upon a while i had a sense of humor. although, this may not be true. are there (m)any German comedians?

Music, Movies, and Books
i like movies when they are independent, especially movies that come from israel and scandanavian countries. but there are times, when I crave movies by judd apatow. the film i watched the most is bridesmaids (but this is a story on its own).
i grew up liking bands such as joy division, the cure, einstürzende neubauten, kraftwerk, pearl jam, nine inch nails, tool, nico, pink floyed, white stripes, and local punk rock bands. and sometimes this is the music i still listen to.
now, i prefer smaller shows by local artists who play punk, canrock, folk, indie, rock, etc. i like when music is experimental and overcomes genres .
i also love jazz (bebop, hardbop, free jazz) when it is not white intellectual elevator jazz. furthermore, i appreciate classical music, from the romantic period (although there are some artists from the pre-romantic period i enjoy as well) to new music. operas, oratorios, messes.
authors i enjoyed so far: henry miller, kafka, the mann family, anais nin, goethe, shakespeare, albert camus, hesse, murakami, rafik schami, nietzsche, bukowski, strunk, schamoni, josef skvorecky, berger/luckmann, elias, wagner, marx, durkheim, michael ende, ottokar domma, tove jansson, etgar keret, samir el youssef, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
one crazy story is how i got my saxofon. well, we travelled from canadas west coast to the east coast. on our way we passed fredericton. we couchsurfed at an old architectures house. and jon oliver has a friend. hans. he came over to enjoy his smoke and the newspaper as well as a good cup of coffee. hans asked me if i like jazz. liking? i fucking love this music. he told me he plays the sax since 50 years and he is repairing the instruments also. he has one left, i could have it for 100 bucks. i was broke at this time. i wish i was rich ones in my life. so we got back on the road without a saxofon. but we came back to fredericton and i got my instrument. so, i play it since august now. thanks to jon and hans.
another weird thing i'm doing is sneaking around in old houses and factories. i don't think it's legal. but so much fun and you can find the most interesting things there.
Teach, Learn, Share
i can share my cultural experience. i can talk about the country i'm coming from forever. about the music, the food, the literature, movies. i like to learn the same things from other people. it is an awesome exchange.
