ABOUT ME

I have lived and taught in Asia for 4 years. I am also a writer. I have written for the CHINA DAILY and SHENZHEN DAILY.

The book I am currently writing is tentatively titled "A CHEVY, A TUK-TUK AND A RICKSHAW". It is about unique and unusual places around the world.

My last book came out in 2004 book called "An Open Road and a Full Tank of Gas, Part 2" about unique people and places in the United States like "Hole in a Rock" Utah, Dorothy's House in Kansas, the World's Largest Easter Egg Hunt and "Carhenge"- an American Stonehenge made out of cars. I guess you could say I have a sense of adventure.

I guess you could say I like to help other people as I have been a teacher for over 4 years and I was a Medic and Pharmacy Tech in the U.S. Army for 8 years. I have applied for the U.S. Peace Corps and hope to go in 2008 to Bulgaria or Botswana or wherever they send me.

PHILOSOPHY

You don't want to look back 20 years from now and say "I wish I would have done this or done that"

I like the quote that I saw in one of the "testimonials".____ says "I got off the train to meet a stranger and got back on the train to say goodbye to a friend". Its true. CS is a good thing. I have been doing in 5 years now. You can come over or I can meet you! Whatever you like.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I like couches except the type at the doctor's office (ha ha). Being a couch potato is fun.

Música, películas y libros

I am a freelance writer in my spare time. I have written sports, travel, military and feature articles. Movies. Hmm... "Bourne Identity", "Matrix", "Chicago", "Million Dollar Baby", "Wedding Crashers"- (and most Clint Eastwood movies). I like a lot of black and white classics too. "Roman Holiday" is one of my favorites.
