ABOUT ME

Hayley and I are new-ish to Vancouver. We moved here from Victoria a few months ago. I think we're both adventurers and travelers by nature...and if we can't be out there adventuring, at least we can surround ourselves with kindred spirits.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I've only had the chance to surf as of yet. My old house wasn't into hosting much...but now that Hayley and I have our own apartment, we look forward to opening our home to fellow travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I've couchsurfed in Miami, New Orleans, Austin and San Francisco. It's the best way to travel. (Also went to a couchsurfing party in Austin!)

Interessen

As for movies, I love every Wes Anderson movie ( Rushmore, Life Aquatic...), Woody Allen ( Match Point, Scoop...), Tarantino ( Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs...). Also, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Memento, The Usual Suspects. anything with a Saturday Night Live alumni...

Books: My all-time favorite is the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy series along with everything else Douglas Adams has written. While travelling, I fell in love with the works of Kurt Vonnegut. I read Breakfast of Champions in Thailand and desperately tried to find more books by him along my travels. Paul Auster is a new favorite of mine also (Leviathan, The New York Trilogy). Oh, and Shantaram, which i just finished for a second time.

I can teach you some fun stuff on the guitar. Or maybe how to say "Really officer, it was an accident." in French. Or even how to bake a delicious loaf of bread.
