About Me

CURRENT MISSION

finding beauty

ABOUT ME

I say what I think and take what I want
I'm kind and sharp in equal parts
I'm not easily offended, but easily amused
I like my space and some of yours too

PHILOSOPHY

What did one paradigm say to the other? Shift happens.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was on the road for 7 years (2005-2012) and surfed and travelled with many wonderful CS people in South and Central America, as well as in Europe (UK, France). I think CS is a fantastic way to meet locals and see things you might not get to otherwise.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first met couchsurfers in Bangladesh while I was living there (2006-8). I had stellar conversations with both (probably because only strange cool people visit Bangladesh).

I've also couchsurfed in Rio, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires, and travelled through Mexico with a fellow CS and traveller. And I've made it to some CS meetups in London and NYC, both large and fun communities.

Interests

Travelling, writing, photographing, reading, editing, chasing the sun. Email. Dude. Inky slinky pens that slice into cheap yellow paper. Sweet. Dancing by myself after midnight. Organising. Making out under my moshari. Lime sherbet. Watching boys run. Drinking water. Labeling. Sleeping in. Watching girls dance. Mangoes. Translucent Nalgene bottles. The smell of markers. Also of petrol. Also of laundered clothes when worn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the strangest most beautiful and challenging experiences I've ever had was a 9 hour journey into Wrangell St. Elias in Alaska, where a friend was building his house from scratch on the side of a mountain where the glaciers begin. His girlfriend had built the outhouse so it was on the edge of a cliff, the front open, and the world dropped away in front of you while you did your business. Ha.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Belize, Bhutan, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Greece, India, Ireland, Lebanon, Lithuania, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Viet Nam
