CURRENT MISSION
Try to solve the conflict between my head, my heart and my balls
ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Julien, 30, french dude recently relocated in Paris after 4 years living in Amsterdam.
I'm an easygoing person, trying to enjoy life as much as possible. I like quite simple things. Share good food/wine with the people I love, travel and of course meet new people.
However, let's face the truth, I'd love to be funny but I'm the only one laughing to my joke. I'd love to be a guitar hero but only my little sister thinks I'm playing good. I wish I was a great alpinist but I'm acrophobe...
Well for more details on how lousy I can be, come to my place and let's have a drink...
PHILOSOPHY
Luck is like a woman. The more you beg her, the less she looks at you.
Chantal Renaud.
So don't complain and fight for what you want.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Being, as much as possible, available for travellers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been guest, host, I also met other travelers along the road for a piece of travel together or just for few drinks and fun.
I only had positive experience (well almost) with couchsurfers, it has always been a great exchange of values, cultures, ideas and experiences.
Some of the guys are now really close friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
A listing of movies, music and books would be too long, so let's keep it simple:
If I had to give you only one movie it will be "Black cat white cat" from Kusturica.
Music: Electro (Kruder& Dorfmeister, RJD2, Yosh...), Reggae (Tiken Jah, Groundation, Matisyahu...),Trip hop, Zouk, Funk even old good Rock & Roll, but essentially lots of french music...
Last album which could not get out of my stereo system would maybe be "based on a true story" fom the kiwi's "Fat Freddy's drop" or the 2 albums of "Nouvelle vague".
I appreciate to dive in a good novel from time to time (last one I really loved was Sinuhe the egyptian from Waltari) but those are not my favourites. I prefer to read historical or sociological, self education books in general and learn from them.
I'm currently reading all what I can find on Prehispanic civilization in Latin-America and right now I'm reading "1491" de Charles C. Mann.
