ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Mike Betthauser, and I am the creator and owner of Artopium.com and the Artopium's Roving Festival. I have come to couchsurfing.com as I am currently traveling through the U.S. and Europe in an effort to help artists, musicians, fashion designers, filmmakers and authors promote and sell their works.

There are more artists alive today than have ever been alive before, and it is my goal to unite us together so that the world may experience the amazingly beautiful art, music, fashion, film and books that exist abundantly around it, unfiltered, uncensored, and best of all, unfettered.

In an effort to do this I am launching a tour of the U.S. and Europe to network with local artists along the way and organize events featuring those artists in what is called Artopium's Roving Festival. Artopium's Roving Festival supports local bands and artists sponsored by local businesses. If you have a space (house, warehouse, backyard, venue, stage) and would like to sponsor an event, please contact me on the Artopium's Roving Festival Myspace page.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I plan to use CS to find find couches within the Portland metro area, as well as surrounding cities while I continue to find members willing to join the Artopium Art Troupe which helps to setup and facilitate ARtopium's Roving Festival.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed in Austin, Denver, Portland, Seattle, & San Francisco.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There is no way I could possibly begin to choose just one thing. Many have said I should write abook about my exploits and explorations of this world and I probably will sometime in the future.
