COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

On one particular trip down to Florida and Georgia, I stayed with two wonderful hosts through Couch-surfing. It's incredible that people are so open and welcoming.

Traveling, reading, good music, hiking, environmental stuff like organic farming, politics. When I walk into a bookstore, it is to the section relating to armed conflict or international development. Then I might walk over to the short stories.

Among movies, I really like A Taste of Cherry, Yi-Yi, and Something Like Happiness. Among books, my favorite might be War is a Force that Gives Us Meaning by Chris Hedges, and I also like the works of Amy Hempel and Elliot Perlman.
