ABOUT ME

I'm 55/45 extrovert/ introvert so while I can be outgoing I am also a homebody. A night spent at home in the company of a good book is a luxury! Love to travel (obviously) and am actively seeking to do more of it in 2013 (2012 was quite good as well!) I'm easy-going & loyal. I first signed up for couch surfing about 6 years ago but am only now reengaging and my it's changed/ grown!

Interests

movies, travel, reading, time spent with friends- doesn't matter what we're doing. Love to garden, love learning new things- enjoy languages although beyond German nothing has ever stuck (German only from living in Switzerland- and it's quite rusty after 20 years!)

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite books are tough for me bc I love so many but off the cuff East of Eden, Memoirs of a Geisha, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Girl Meets God, Addiction and Grace, Return of the Prodigal Son
Music- I am a die hard 80s fan bc that's my childhood. Otherwise Americana is probably my favorite type- think David Wilcox, Mindy Smith. Am the tiniest bit obsessed with Alanis Morissette's music- the way she distills such universal experiences into lyrics is genius. Movies? Gone with the Wind is a lifelong favorite. Sliding Doors, Love Actually, When Harry Met Sally...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Northern lights seen in Minnesota 22 years ago- I still remember them.
My first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower (cliche but true, I teared up)
The view & sensation of floating on a skydiving excursion last month (Nov 2012)
