About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To achieve self-better-ment through: exploring the world, building bridges with other global citizens, and searching the bottom of every glass

ABOUT ME

A traveller looking to open his mind and expand his horizons... and maybe figure out what I'll do with my life.

PHILOSOPHY

Better explained in person. I don't believe in forcing it upon others, though. That's something everyone should figure out for themselves.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are too many to list, so I´ll come out with some best ofs:
Book: Shantaram, Gregory David Roberts (also Stranger in a Strange Land by Heinlein, Pahlaniuk, Coupland, Malcolm Gladwell and the manic genius of Alan Moore, Niel Gaiman and Warren Ellis).
Music: Radiohead tops it for consistency (Gomez the Shins Supergrass and the Coral are also good as is Johnny Cash & Ida Maria, plus Sarah Blasko, Faker and The Dappled Cities Fly for homegrown talent)
Movies: this one is tough - Once, Chopper, Finding Neverland, Batman Begins/Dark Knight, Accepted & Indiana Jones (I adore any film by Kurosawa, Miyazaki and Wes Anderson)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Realising how many people you´ve managed to have a profound impact upon when they all come to say goodbye to you together.

Teach, Learn, Share

A gift is a symbol of gratitude, appreciation and celebration, and helps unite people. Yet a great gift is something that transcends social custom. When we give something that is of ourselves; our desires, beliefs and experiences contained within an object, cultural divides are bridged and personal barriers are deconstructed through giving and receiving. When we give with personal sacrifice to ourselves, however great that sacrifice is, then our souls will ultimately, inevitably meet.
