ABOUT ME

We are both originally from Kenora and have moved back to our hometown after both being away for about 8-10 years for University and other adventures.

We have 2 dogs and a cat and usually at least 1 other foster dog in our care. A lot of our life revolves around taking the dogs for walks and playing with them.

We are both pretty active in our communities. Kim manages the Ladies Hockey League and Mike is involved with many Arts and Music groups in town and is on various community committees.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have many years of having people stay on my couches informally. I worked for many years as a tree planter so I've dirtbagged it on other peoples couches and shared mine many times.

兴趣

Everything outdoors, books, photography, Macs, music, TedTalks, traveling, vegetable gardening, our dogs, the lake, the ocean, the forest, rocks... lot's of other stuff too.

We are both very active and participate in a variety of outdoor activities including biking, climbing, running, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, skijoring, x-country skiing, snowshoeing, camping, etc, etc...

We both love books. Kim reads like crazy and probably completes 5 books for every one Mike reads. Mike spends a lot of his time reading internet blogs.

We don't have cable but we usually watch a few television series throughout the year. Our rabbit ears still work so sometimes we catch Rick Mercer. We both love CBC radio and the podcast The Dirtbag Diaries - if you haven't heard it you need to check it out.
