About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see it all!

ABOUT ME

If you could somehow cross an eight-year-old girl and an eigthy-year-old woman you would arrive at my clothing style. The more random the moment the better. I can tell you something about everyone in the room, and I love lounging about with a hot beverage in hand. When I am not lounging, I am usually jumping or dancing!

PHILOSOPHY

"Ser una viajera significa buscar una existencia casi permanente en el presente, en constante desplazamiento y en una condicion de eterno extranjera, con raices no en la nacionalidad sino en esos territorios que se rigen por el deseo, la sensibilidad y el conocimiento."

"To be a traveler means to seek an almost permanent existence in the present, in constant displacement and in the condition of eternal foreigner, with roots not in nationality but in those territories under the rule of desire, sensibility and knowledge."

Everything in its time.

Music, Movies, and Books

Nonfiction books about food activism- "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" changed my life. "Shadow of the Sun." "Travels With Charlie."

Movies: I gravitate toward French and Eastern European film (especially Polish and Czech). Trois Coleurs is the perfect marriage- Polish direction and French realization!

Music: I am always open to hearing new things, especially when they make me dance. Usually I listen to mellow tunes. Currently addicted to Sufjan Stevens, Ray Lamontagne and Devendra Banhart.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I slept under the stars in the middle of nothing in Kenya. I drew pictures in the sand with little Turkana children, since we couldn't communicate otherwise. I had an artisan named after a Peruvian god burn my dreadlocks in an outdoor market. I sang around a fire on a Spanish beach. I walked between lightning rods in New Mexico. I ate my fill of mangos in Mexico. I picnic (present tense!!) as often as possible in France!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a huge health nut, and I like to bake, so I can health-ify what your sweet tooth craves and sculpt it into some crazy form. I am constantly learning and do not consider myself an expert of any one field, but I am ready for a debate or a challenge to my philosophies. I am art/film-conscious and am looking for more music in my life.
