I will try just about anything once and love new experiences of all types. I have been fortunate enough to travel all over the United States (49 down and just Alaska to go) & have just started traveling abroad the last 7 years (22 countries down and too many to count to go).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I feel bad on this front because I don't live in a "destination city" like LA or NYC, but I do hope members will give Columbus, Ohio a chance if they are road tripping through the US if you are on I-75 or I-70. For a city of just one million people you would be surprised at the quality of restaurants in our city and there is nothing quite like experiencing an Ohio State University American football game.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed a few couches (I usually travel with two other guys and don't like to impose that much...usually just stay in hostels), but I have met some wonderful people via CS already who have provided me with great personal tours & recommendations for places that locals frequent and are not that touristy.

Centres d'intérêt

I love just about any type of music except country. I like listening to bands in small venues before they "hit it big" (e.g. heard Pearl Jam, Vertical Horizon & John Legend all in smaller venues). I love to hike, play sports, jog and watch movies among other things. I have an insatiable appetite for good books and great food. I enjoy volunteering to help others in any way that presents itself. I specifically enjoy the following: Gomez, Amos Lee, Travis, Jack Johnson, Tracy Chapman, Mat Kearney, Lenny Kravitz, South Austin Jug Band, The Shins, Johnny Cash, Bob Mould, Bob Marley, Edie Brickell, Kanye West...to name a few.

I've hiked most of the major mountains and national parks in the USA.

I jump out of perfectly operating airplanes for fun and if I ever stay in one city long enough before it gets cold I plan to get certified.

I would love to learn something from and about everyone I meet on CS and hopefully help them out in some way either via something as vital as networking or as small as just recommending a great website, restaurant, event, etc.
