About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore, enjoy, become enlightened.
ABOUT ME
Returned from a year spent doing a lap of the globe Moscow -> Miami in April and miss travelling so much. Considering going on "the game" or becoming a travel writer to do it for the rest of my life, but right now I'm settling back in London, with a nice job, staying close to my nice family. Aren't I nice?
PHILOSOPHY
Explore, enjoy, become enlightened - seen that before? Very much a detailed version of Current mission this one...
Mission is not to have one and drift around where the flow takes me.
I'm still to young to go mad for the "Rat Race", and never really see it being my bag. People I work with want to earn more, buy more and consume more, but to me the English Dream is equally as un-appealing as the American Dream - right now anyway.
I want explore and find out more about the world, making the most of the sights and sounds and making as many good friends as possible along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I once stayed at a friend of my sisters house, in Sumatra, Indonesia, near Lake Toba. It wasn't so much couch surfing, as bed sharing, with fellow english gent James, and my sisters friend Ricardo. Sandwiched in the middle, I had a interesting nights sleep as Richardo had limb controll issues. His stray arm I could handle, but when that was followed 5 minutes later with his leg lasooing around mine, a line was crossed.
Just nodding off, after spending the night fending off Richardo's unconsicious attemps to get fresh and spoon me, I woke to the endearing sound of the keen cockerell outside cock-a-doodle-o-ing 2 hours before dawn. Great days ; )
I think what I'm trying to say is, I'll sleep anywhere and cherish the memories...
Interests
Football (or soccer, if you prefer...(but really think it's fair soccer is called football, considering American football involves using your hands) American Rugby anyone?)
My team - Southampton (who? Um, ok they're like Arsenal, yes Arsenal. Man U? No, I detest Man U).
Tell you what, My team - England
Golf
Music - Anything involing instuments and talent, including Metal
Motorsport - Karting
Windsurfing
Badders (Badminton)
I'll give anything a go, but I find horses a bit smug, just cos we ride them, instead of eat them (in blighty anyway). I more of a cow man really - they seem a bit more down to earth.

Movies: Terminator 2, HEAT, Memento, Life of Brian, Resovior Dogs + more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I will be going on the the Trans-siberian railway from Moscow to Beijing in April and anticipate that filling this rather embaresing void...
Until then, I ate at the Savoy in London last weekend... won't be doing that again for a while $$$. I can heartily recommend the rib-eye scottish roast beef, cooked medium rare. Excitement itself huh!?
Teach, Learn, Share
I've had a little experience of teaching English and find it rewarding, but enjoy all passing on any of my knowledge. If you want to take up Golf, or Windsurfing, or Karing, come and see Mike.
I'm keen to learn Spanish, so a reciperocal arrangement could be fun... maybe?
