ABOUT ME

I'm a mother of three book business professional, who loves collecting stories and making new friends. As of October 2007 I have a new job and am busy travelling myself - less likely to be able to host at the moment...
My life is normally busy on the verge of frantic, but couchsurfing brings me an excellent opportunity to raise my karma account and perhaps spread some joy around me.
I am an avid couch traveller in the sense that I read voraciously and long to enter all those wonderful worlds; 1980's Bombay, 1640's Istanbul, 1910's New York...
Despite my name and my appearance I'm Swedish through and through. Name by marriage, looks by ancient and unclear genetics.

PHILOSOPHY

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My mother always had interesting international contacts - everything from French medieval scholars to Guatemalan guerilla fighters couchsurfed with us. I want my children to know the world as I did, from an early age.
When I first joined CS I led a very busy CS existence and thorougly enjoyed making so many new friends, collecting such wonderful stories and receiving so many impulses to travel more and more and more... and to see Stockholm with fresh new eyes as well!
I don't host anymore and don't really take part in the CS way of life, but wholeheartedly endorse the project and all its wonderful members.

Interests

Reading, writing, speaking - anything to do with words. I also love jogging and biking - and creative cooking.

Music, Movies, and Books

I want to read voraciously, always have, but funnily enough less time the longer I work in the industry. I like books that feed my mind - of late Amos Oz has become a favourite. Could name a hundred more...
My music collection was lost recently, feel free to help replace it! World music, 80's alternative, funk and soul - very openminded when it comes to music. Used to be a punk, full mohican and all (20 years ago or so). Clash rule, of course.
I love Amelie from Montmartre, a film made for me (if not exactly about me)! Borat nearly killed me with laughter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I gave birth twice. I have three absolutely amazingly wonderful children.
