ABOUT ME

I'd say we're pretty easy going... but who am I to say?! We're pretty settled here in NZ, long term die-hard Kiwis even. We're totally happily married. Actually I'm finding it kind of hard to decide all about us at the moment... we've just moved from Dunedin to Fairlie to start the next big adventure. Clement has just taken his first job as a High School Woodwork teacher and I (Hannah) am along for the ride, giving whatever comes up a go. We're not big partiers - hence Fairlie is cool, we're readers, like a good movie, and love a good chat! And it doesn't take much to convince me to bake something delicious. I doubt this even begins to describe us actually, really we're quite cool!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe charity begins at home, so I try to do things for people that I can see and get to know. Because I believe what goes around comes around, and when I'm somewhere in Belgium wondering where I'm going to sleep, that there's someone there with the same outlook that I can reap some karma rewards with.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've been inactive for the last year or so while we went back to flatting to get through Clement's year of study. But prior to that we experienced the world with couch surfing and prior to that we welcomed the world into our home as hosts... we look forward to hosting again now!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Whether it's been a hosting or surfing experience it's been great. We've met so many wonderful people, and had so many great conversations over countless shared meals.

兴趣

Well on my part (Hannah) I' m experimenting a bit with that at the moment with all my free time! I love to read, no fruit is safe from becoming a tasty jam or baking, I'm giving painting a go, I function much better with regular running/ yoga/swimming/ walking/ biking. Movies I love - some days a blockbuster, some days a festival movie. And personal histories are a passion - this is the year I plan on helping my Gran write her memoirs.
Clement also is a reader and movie watcher. Loves to tramp/ fish/ camp, built his own boat, but on the other hand is madly in love with his XBox!

My favourite day of the year is Dunedin's 24 hour booksale! For book lovers that's mid May. I adore reading so much that last year, my final tally was around 40 books! I love New Zealand authors - Maurice Gee, Barbara Else, Kelly Ana Morey and many many more but try not to limit myself. I also love John Irving, Gerald Durrell, Marian Keyes and so many more.
As for movies, well between Clement (husband) and myself you're bound to find one of us enjoys the same sort of movies as you!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Wow our wedding day is still up there as the coolest day (just over 5 years ago now). Standing on the Eiffel tower at 11pm on a summer night in Paris was also pretty spectacular... and the day when we do the three day tramp to the top of Macchu Picchu - well that's still to come, but once it happens you can guarantee it'll be in this section!
