CURRENT MISSION
Writing a book on solutions to climate change (:
ABOUT ME
I'm basically a calm person, and wish there was a lot more calm in the world. I would say I'm pretty outgoing these days, but definitely have moments of shyness; I love meeting people, and need good people in my life, but I also need those quiet moments when there's nothing but yourself and some music, or a book, or silence.
I'm currently living in Barcelona and hope to have a couch that's surfable pretty soon.
Ah, and I guess the most literal way to answer this would be to actually describe myself - im tall, 6'2 (190cm), thin and, most remarkably, have all of my hair (my father and brother were somewhat lacking by my age).
PHILOSOPHY
The world is clearly a very fine place; it seems a shame not to see as much of it as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can juggle (badly), play guitar (worse) and have even been known to enjoy washing up.
I also grab the ear of any man, woman or beast that hasn't come across couchsurfing and tell them in no uncertain terms that they should join.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed with a number of good people in the world including the Balkans, France, Spain, Morocco and the Americas. I have never had a bad experience with couchsurfing, and genuinely think this will continue - it's the best community of people I've discovered in the world so far.
My friend Sunny and I hosted a whole bunch of people when we lived in Hanoi, which was the best of fun. I hope to have a place for hosting before too long.
Interests
Things that get my mind working - books, music, films, conversation, work, travel - I try to go towards things that make me question what I already know.
I love music in most of it's forms, particularly to listen to, and playing guitar, which I do quite badly. I love being involved in sports, but particularly snowboarding (my first love), swimming (only exercise), tennis and badminton, and pretty much anything with a ball involved.
Oh, and animals - don't think I've met any I didnt like, they're fantastic. Having said that, poodles dressed in jumpers are a little creepy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sailed across the Atlantic to the Caribbean, whales, seasickness and all. Fantastic.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach English, so that seems a good place to start. I can also cook a little, and would love to share / learn some recipes with others who like food as much as I do. Oh, and if anyone would like to show me some more guitar chords, Id be most happy (:
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to help out in the house with whatever needs doing (cooking, cleaning etc) and love to share experiences and swap stories with interesting folks - sharing is what CS is about, no? (:
Countries I’ve Lived In
