About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to enjoy living in and experiencing the northern hemisphere for as long as it lasts!

ABOUT ME

hey there - i was born and raised in Australia, fell in love with travelling after my first big OS trip in 1999. Have lived in and travelled all around Argentina and South America (and now married to a beautiful Argentine) but i'm now living in London... i'm pretty easy going and love to laugh and make others laugh... you have to have a sense of humour to enjoy my company!

I visited Argentina and Brazil in 2006 and i loved it so much i quit my job in Australia to go back to South America and learn Spanish and see as much of the continent (and meet as many interesting people) as possible!!

I've travelled and worked in many countries around the world and am equally happy roughing it in the outback, lazing on a secluded beach or battling the rat race. Whatever the situation I can usually adapt to it and see the lighter side!

While i love doing adventurous activities and partying with fun people, I also enjoy some personal quiet time to read, plan, converse with people and generally just soak up the surroundings, wherever it may be.

PHILOSOPHY

don't have a "philosophy" except maybe "roll with the punches"... and "now or never!"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

over the years i've had plenty of overseas friends couchsurfing with me in Brisbane (and i've done the same while travelling), and the experiences I've had so far in South America have been great.

Interests

Travelling and enjoying good times with great people!! playing guitar, listening and playing live music, learning about other cultures, bike riding, snowboarding, surfing, trekking, rugby, basketball, football, just about any ballsport i guess, lowbrow art, old cars and collecting old, rare and weird stuff, and anything tiki related (carving, collecting, making tiki art etc).

I love absorbing a new place/town/country, whether it be just sitting in a park, riding in the hills or having a drink at a small bar.
