About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be more mindful. Be more grateful. Be good and encourage goodness. Maybe bicycle around the world and learn to sail.

ABOUT ME

I live my life day to day.

I am humanist. All I want is to be happy, and to help create and maintain happiness among all people. I believe in love, and believe we all have a biological need for closeness and compassion.

I am a scientist. While not by profession, I am a scientist in that I accept and use the scientific method as the best way to gain a further and deeper meaningful understanding of ourselves and our environment and how everything interacts.

I am an anarchist. I don't believe there is a single golden rule that can be universally applied to the behaviors of all peoples that will benefit them all for all time. It's quite simple. I believe decisions are best made based on evidence and personal experience rather than words written in stone or on paper.

I have a broad world view. I tend to look at the big picture, and I'm only just figuring out how much I contribute to it. I feel that this enables me to perceive certain phenomena that others miss. That's not to say I'm not missing parts of the picture myself, as I tend to miss some of the finer details, but I'm trying to be more attentive.

I am happy. I wake up every morning with a sense of wonder and amazement. The more I learn about how this universe works, the more amazed I am. I am so fortunate to be alive in such an exciting time and place. Many people far better off than I in this society fail everyday to see how good they have it, I make it a point to appreciate everything I have. And the most important thing I have is the love that I share with my amazing friends and family.

PHILOSOPHY

Do what you gotta do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to get hooked up with hosts who share similar interests, or who have farms/gardens for me to work on in exchange for the couch space. During my travels, I certainly plan to raise awareness of this site and write out thoughtful and thorough reviews of each guest house I stay with. While I am in Fort Collins, I am working and volunteering at the bike co-op here so I encourage anyone who is passing through on or with a bicycle to stop by and check it out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Everyone I have met through this site has been absolutely wonderful. I am so grateful that this site exists and that the word is out and people are using it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snorkeling with sea lions in La Paz was pretty awesome. Getting arrested for passing out drunk was not so much.
Driving cross country in a car was great, but traveling by bicycle across North America is the most amazing thing I've done!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach me how you live your life the way you do. Let's learn from each other. We can share our experiences through our words, stories, pictures, and more.
