ABOUT ME

I’m a collection of contradictory traits waging war against each other.

But then again, aren’t we all?

I’m a bit of a social alcoholic and I enjoy nothing more than unruly dancing until 6am. Yet I relish those quiet, self-reflective moments alone when you confront your thoughts and make sense of them.

I respect intellect and creativity, I crave passion and I’m driven by the prospect of economic and social justice.
I’m a language and culture junkie who loves inspirational people who help us form our vision of the world, and discover ourselves in the process.

I'm a Jamaican who's slightly water-phobic - no laughs please, ok maybe a chuckle.

I’m also a bit of a fashion addict, but I'm always too broke to afford it.

I’ve been called painfully corny and slightly demented – whaat?...neeever! (I prefer ‘refreshing sense of humour’ and 'fun-loving') lol

Kinda sick of typing “I”, so you’ll have to figure the rest out on your own… :)

PHILOSOPHY

"Humans are divided into different clans and tribes, and belong to countries and towns. But I find myself a stranger to all communities and belong to no settlement. The universe is my country and the human family is my tribe.
Men are weak, and it is sad that they divide amongst themselves. The world is narrow and it is unwise to cleave it into kingdoms, empires, and provinces."

- Khalil Gibran

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Jamaica, despite the image that pops into your head of a carefree island where we dance in the sun all day, they're real social and economic problems...Coming from there and living in the U.S. has shown me the extremes of dire poverty and almost disgusting wealth...the gap is unbelievable, the injustice - insupportable.

Teach, Learn, Share

"Sweet life must be somewhere to be found instead of this concrete jungle..pollution, confusion, illusion" - Bob

I'm searching for my utopia, 'the' utopia is non-existent, but 'yours' is, it's all relative...
