About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet people who live in Toronto, and show visitors what Canadian hospitality is all about!
ABOUT ME
I was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Eventually I went traveling in Europe and North Africa for a year. Came back and lived in Montreal while finishing my undergrad in English at McGill University. Moved to Toronto last year to get my ESL teaching certificate from the University of Toronto. In July 2011 I'll be starting a job teaching ESL at U of T.
So, if your English isn't that great, don't worry about it! ;)
PHILOSOPHY
Hmm, fortune cookies can probably phrase this better than I can. Basically, just realize that some good can be found in even the worst situation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosting is tricky right now because I have roommates on different schedules. But if you want someone to show you around, go out with, or just relax with (when I was traveling, there were a couple days where all I wanted to do was sit on a couch, drink some beer, and watch a movie), drop me a line.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I signed up in February 2007, and have met people for drinks in Poland and the Ukraine, and stayed with hosts in Romania, Greece, and Montreal. There's no better way to travel.
Interests
writing, traveling, movies, reading, music, photography, hiking, road trips (okay, maybe that's still traveling, but it is a little different), meeting people from all over and listening to different points of view, etc etc

Backpacked Egypt for a month.
Teach, Learn, Share
"Those who anger you, control you."
"It's about the journey, not the destination."
On a practical level, hanging a shirt in the bathroom while you take a steaming shower helps take the wrinkles out, and it's a much more relaxing way to do it than ironing! ;)
