CURRENT MISSION
I Stand Forth to Challenge the Wisdom of the World!!!
ABOUT ME
I've recently moved towards a simpler, nomadic life away from the crap I had always been knee deep in. Without the things I had always thought were necessary - the illusory stability of a job, a "real" house with electricity, a computer, phone, and the like – I'm regaining a modicum of health lost through years of overwork, over-stress, over-everything. Everything but what I really wanted – to run free as the wind. I've begun to need less and less of what I didn't want, to have more and more of what I did. I can't seem to shake this unflinching belief that there truly are no rules... Despite (or, perhaps because of) all this, I tend to smile and laugh often :)
PHILOSOPHY
Losing control can be disturbing to our minds. We feel safest when we have control over the events of our lives. Our dream of control fits with our mechanical view of the universe. But, I have never made friends with a machine. I could imagine doing so, but I believe I would soon be disappointed. I could certainly control a machine, but after a while that would be boring. I have never been able to control a friend. Indeed, what interests me most about my friends is that they surprise me by doing the unpredictable. I have never truly known an "ordinary" man or woman, only unique individuals (with a varying willingness to express that). Similarly, the universe has many surprises in store for us through the force of disorder. Hail Eris! Perhaps the most surprising thing about it is that this force is always with us, because we are the creators of it.
