About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learn languages and travel the world!
ABOUT ME
Born: Sac-town
Place of Residence: Washington, D.C.
Also lived in: San Francisco CA, DF Mexico, Simrishamn Sweden, Cairo, Egypt
I want to be a foreign diplomat, and learn basically every language.
I write.
I work in tourism.
I like trains, jazz music, reading, cooking and eating strange foods, riding bikes, finding hidden things, and wearing black dresses like a Victorian widow.
PHILOSOPHY
It never hurts to ask. I have gotten some of the coolest things and experiences by just daring to ask even if it seemed stupid or unlikely. Of course, sometimes you get looked at like you are crazy, but it is a small price to pay!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have had some great couchsurfers, and have had beautiful hosts too. And CS parties are pretty rad too!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted some people and they have all been so interesting and an absolute joy to have. I felt like I was traveling too. Nice to have a captive audience to all your ramblings about your town and travels etc. Just kidding about the captive part. Mostly.
Now that I am surfing myself, I must say I am sometimes left speechless in response to the amazing hospitality and just overall coolness of the people who have let me stay. I'm hooked for sure.
Interests
In a word, traveling. And learning. Just finding new foreign things to experience whenever possible. And riding bikes and trains. Also wine. Wine is delicious.

books: the collected works of my soul mate, Mark Twain, Skinny Legs and All, Kafka on the Shore, Notes from Underground, The Royal Road to Romance, Neither Here Nor There, A Time of Gifts
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I crossed the US by train. I rode my bike in the rain from Vienna to Bratislava. I also was adopted for one hour by an adorable family in the Czech countryside so I wouldn't die of hypothermia waiting for my bus. I also climbed Mount Sinai- great views!
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to cook! I will definitely teach you how to cook something, particularly something vegan. Also I can sew, so perhaps you have something that needs mending? I also know some very cheesy jokes that I would be happy to tell you. I can fold an origami crane, and I would love to impart that knowledge upon you.
