CURRENT MISSION
IT'S NOW OR NEVER!
ABOUT ME
There is nothing that I won't try once, and I get scared sometimes thinking that there won't be enough days in my life to try it all. I'm quite interested in hiking and mountain climbing. I recently beat my personal record running Cowles Mountain here in San Diego. (It's the highest mountain in town.) I look forward to beating it again and finding the next challenge.
I'm gregarious and boisterous and have been called, "too friendly." (Is that even possible?) I have yet to decide if that's an insult or a compliment. Haha.
I am utterfly fascinated by languages and cultures other than mine, and I hope that I will continue to have the means and the will to explore and see what this world has to offer.
PHILOSOPHY
T.S. Eliot once said, "Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My participation began with meeting up with CSrs for drinks in San Diego before I left for Argentina. I spent three months rockin' the Buenos Aires and Argentina CSing circut. I rented a room from Luis Betancourt when I first arrived. He is extremely active in the Buenos Aires group. (In fact, he is now an ambassador, and living in Colombia!! I hear he got that group up and running.) He introduced me to his friends, and they quickly became mine. They have all been amazingly wonderful people who made me feel at home when I was so far from home. In my eyes, it is because of them that I have such a high opinion of couchsurfers. I would recommend it to anyone.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have probobably spent more time on other people's couches that I have on my own. I love to work hard for a while, save up, and then take off for a few weeks.
I had the best CS experience in Buenos Aires. The people were the best I've ever met. They are always doing stuff and constantly go out of their way to make new people feel comfortable. It was an amazing experience, one I am afraid I will never top. I made friends for life there and they really opened up my eyes to the whole CSing mentality.
Interests
I enjoy interesting conversations, the thrill of something new, the excitement of getting away, the delight in finding new favorite places, the flavor of new tequila, the joy found in meeting new people, and the pleasure of getting lost.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked to the top of Mount Haleakalā in Maui for a sunrise unlike any other. The summit is 10,023 ft (3,055 m) high and at at this height you are above the clouds and can't even tell if there is a world below you. Ever seen a sunrise when the clouds are below you? It was like a dream and felt almost like I was the only person on earth. (Well, me and the dozens of other people wanting to experience the same phenomenon. *LOL*)
Not to mention Machu Picchu and Waynapicchu which has been added to my list of one of THE best days in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love the opportunity to learn something new. Especially the chance to build up my Spanish language skills. Any advice??
I can offer some terrific vegetarian meals, lessons on American and it's culture. I can also teach American Sign Language to anyone who is interested.
I fancy myself to be a music buff and an avid reader and am open to talking about and sharing what I know. Not to mention, being the Queen of useless trivia facts. I will blow your mind with crazy facts that will come in handy one day, I promise you that.
