About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Go everywhere around the world... and try to change it a little bit for better!

ABOUT ME

I'm a now free-lance journalist who wants to discover the world and its inhabitants, especially the subsaharian Africa's ones, because I feel so good there, as much as good as is my own country, beautiful Quebec... (read : I'm a separatist! ;-))

I've been a professionnal journalist working in newspapers, magazines and radio stations since 2008, including 2 radio interships in Cameroon. Now I'm heading to Burkina Faso to work as a volunteer journalist in a Ouagadougou's daily newspaper for 4 months..

Will see what it will change in my live back home next May!

PHILOSOPHY

Take the life as it comes and try to make it goes where you want to! Make anything possible to realise your dreams and to make the ones you love happy. And try to to let the world you live in better that it was before, whatever you're able to make for it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used CS a lot in 2007, because I travelled in France, Ireland and Scotland. It was fantastic! Now, I try to receive people in Ouaga when I will be settled there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did CS in France(Montpellier, Marseille, Lyon, Paris), Ireland (Galway) and UK (London, Glasgow, Oban, Aberdeen, Edimbourg)and each time was a really great one!

Interests

I have as many interest as sky has stars, so it will be long to list! Basically, I love reading, writing, listening to music (especially the French Quebecer's one!), stay informed of international news, being outside in the forest or near the sea, travelling everywhere, eating good food... and drinking good beer and wine with friends and interesting new people!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a book worm, so there too many books I like to listed them there! But and a real Anne of Green Gables and Harry Potter fan. I also love reading detective novels, especially the ones from Michael Connnely, Henning Mankell, Patricia Cornwell, Louise Penny and Kathy Reich.

I'm a music eclectic, so I like a lot of mixed artists. I love French Quebecer singers like Cowboys Fringuants, Yann Perreau, Vincent Vallières, Félix Leclerc, Paul Piché and Pierre Lapointe and a lot of others. I also fancy some French singer like Renaud, or old rock buddies like Scorpions, Queen, REM and more!

I like seing movies, but I'm not a real movie freak, so I don't have specific titles. I fancy mostly psychologic movies and thrillers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing the Wayna Picchu, the big peak near Machu Picchu in Peru: that was so hard but fully reward by the view at the top!

Hiking in the Red Cullins mountains (Isle of Skye, Scotland): A really long 7 hours, including parts in the rain, other in fog and finally in the dark, with 5 fantastic hikers... Proving myself I'm able to do it!

Climbing the Lost Valley of Glencoe (Scotland): Snow falling and deers running around... Really wet but amazing!

Watching the horizon at sunlight somewhere in Extreme-North Cameroon : Being almost alone somewhere where people live like it was century ago, under stars millenium old... Make's you think of your own place in the universe!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm able to share knowledge about subsaharian African situation because I try to make more people aware of it in Quebec. I'm also able to explain Quebec separatists demands, because I'm a strong one! Finally, I have a lot of knowledge in mass media and communication world, because that's my job, and my true passion!
