About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Montreal, et al

ABOUT ME

Romantic Western American. Stays up late. Travels. Climbs buildings so as to keep head in the clouds. Astonished by any number of everyday items and occurrences. Not yet used to existing.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm striving for freedom and discovery, for serious confusion, for a path that can only lead to something less or more than an ordinary life.

I think that creative output requires creative input, that growth only comes from new experience. That you should ask yourself whether you'll regret it on your deathbed (thanks Jess), and that if your asking, the answer is probably no. That fear is a useless emotion. I believe that places are nothing more than contexts for people, and that people are more important than anything else.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In Colorado we hosted a few people in our giant schoolhouse. I would have loved to have more - every night, if possible - but apparently not a lot of CSers go to Fort Collins.

Since then I have been surfing all over europe. I have fallen in love with the project. I want to marry it. I want to overthrow the government (any government) and start a new one based on the principals of CS. Couchunism.

But, until I build up my revolutionary army, I just do my best to spread the good word. Viva la surfer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Three of the best:

Endless rings of fires on Ocean Beach in San Francisco.

Election-night party at the American Consulate in Munich.

Cataphil in Paris.

Interests

Philosophies, Religions, Passions, Convictions. The Perennial Philosophy, i.e. Is-ness. Climbing building, exploring tunnels, hidden places. Finding more creative ways to play. Learning new instruments and playing old songs. The sky, of course, and the smell of a summer night somewhere more humid than Colorado. Traveling by freight train. The upside to the end of the world.

also: Ropeswings and swimming and fires with new and old friends and combinations thereof.
