Changing the world while travelling/ travelling the world while changing
ABOUT ME
Silly yet serious, contemplative yet impulsive, mature yet childish, wandering yet determined, ambitious but lazy, restless yet peaceful, awake but dreaming, spiritual but down to earth,...
PHILOSOPHY
Tat tvam asi
Be good , do good, feel good
I can find myself in the basic principles of christian anarchist philosophy. I believe in local activism, in giving, in hospitality and in the fact that all human beings are equal, regardless of ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, ...
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been a translator, a host and a surfer many times
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
After being part of the CS community for more than six years now, surfing a few times myself and hosting people from 5 continents, I finally feel like filling in this box properly.
CS is an awesome concept, combining the age old idea of hospitality with the ever increasing globalisation of this world. That stranger with his huge backpack on your doorstep is actually the result of a chain of small miracles, proving that the CouchSurfing system works incredibly well.
However, one mustn't travel half the globe to quench ones thirst for the exotic or simply a change of scenery. Whenever I host people, I try to show them around as much as I can, thus looking at my city through their eyes and appreciating its beauty more and more. Recently I also started to surf random couches in Belgium and I would recommend you to do the same.
Go out there and meet people!

Música, películas y libros
I admit, I don't know much about movies, but I like Tim Burton, Terry Gilliam, Amélie Poulain-esque stuff and Bollywood. Music is required in high daily doses (let's not start namedropping here!)and books, well, I'm always reading three or more books at a time, but rarely finish one.
Algo increíble que he hecho
Was born... walked the earth for 32 years... survived!
Some other fairly crazy stuff:
*Age 17, I attended the Maha Kumbha Mela in Allahabad, India, the biggest religious gathering of people in history
*flew in a tiny plane right above the trees of the Amazonas
*Danced in the Salvador Carneval Parade together with 2.5 million people
*regularly climb over fences to see the sun rise from that special spot
*got married
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I'm a teacher, but I'd rather be taught! I would really like to improve my Spanish and broaden my horizon in every possible way. I'm interested in every political, philosophical or religious view, although I try to avoid even the slightest hint of fanaticism or dogmaticism. Feel free to share your opinions with me.
Whether you're my surfer or my host, I'll basically share everything I've got, 'cause I have this silly belief that everything you give will return to you somehow. You know: the "reap what you sow" kinda thing.
