Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Have surfed in India and Europe. Can meet people for a coffee and show them around bits of London but I live with loads of people so it's difficult to host as I'd have to get everyone's agreement...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had a lot of fun, it's almost always interesting.
Interests
I love music (in a really really big way) - there are too many bands to bore you with a long list, let's just say most things that aren't pop...I read novels and biographies, all newspapers, comics and the back of cereal boxes...I love to walk, I love the rain (I have to, I'm British) and I love clouds. I make pictures out of anything I find...

Music, Movies, and Books
Where to start?
Books: Primo Levi, Donna Tartt, George Orwell, Irvine Welsh, Susanna Clarke, Margaret Atwood, Jung Chang, Cormack McCarthy and Iain Banks
Music: Currently - Radiohead, Broken Bells, Guts, Billie Holiday, Blackalicious, Deckwrecka, Mogwai, Arab Strap, Boxcutter, Burial, Fink, Fela Cuti, Ali Farka Toure...
Movies: My memory for films is so bad that I can watch the same film two or three times and not realise I've seen it until the end...saying that, Withnail and I is one of my favourites, along with The Princess Bride and Back to the Futures I and II
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A double sunrise/rainbow at either ends of the sky at Glastonbury festival was unbelieveably beautiful and the solar Eclipse seen from the edge of a cliff in '99 was pretty surreal...Sunset in the Himalayas in Nepal - absolutely the best thing I have ever seen.
Teach, Learn, Share
The square root of minus one is i, which is an imaginary number.
You can make a pin-hole camera with your mouth.
The plastic bits on the ends of your shoelaces are called "iglets".
Apart from that, I could teach some drawing, Photoshop and Illustrator on Macs and PCs.
