About Me

I have been working in visual arts for some time as a gallery preparator and as an artist's assistant. But now its time to go back to school. I'll be moving to Oslo and attending KHiO in the fall. Looking forward to exploring the city and what lies beyond in the Norwegian wood.

If I wasn't doing the art thing I would have been a farmer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It all started with the couch surfing table dancing extravaganza at Sziget 07. . . yah. Its been roses from then on out.

I have met some people who are now great friends I've had for years. We've since traveled and grown old(er) together.

Interests

I obviously like visual arts, but other creative ventures are great too. And when I can, I like being able to support people who are doing other creative things - musicians, storytellers, women in comedy, LGBT performers. However, some of the most creative people I know are chefs, farmers, journalists, bike mechanics, urban planners, mothers. Its great being interested in art because it lends itself to being a master or an amateur of many other things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Fleetwood Mac is my all time favourite band.

I still love Back to the Future. I think I base a lot of my identity on Marty McFly but also The Goonies.

I listen to lots of CBC Radio and of course many podcasts, Reply All is a consistent fav.

I'm currently reading "The Curve of Time" by M. Wylie Blanchet - In 1927 a single mother began sailing with her five children up the southern coast of British Columbia every summer. A true story and totally bad ass lady!!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made pie for 400 people.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know some stuff about mycology but there is always so much more to learn. I could show you a few choice edibles.
