About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Combining the anthropological skills with management tools. Understanding the world in different perspectives.

ABOUT ME

I wander around these big Playground we happened to live on, grasping the picture of my self and collecting the possibly most honest insights of how all of that look like from the points of others' views.

PHILOSOPHY

"And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music"

Couching, hosting, recommending

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couched some places in Europe, once in Morocco and India. Also, few times with my sister we were hosting CSers in our hometown. These were often memorable meetings, special in a way that CS is actually the world-wide community and the similar spirit/approach of its members is interestingly combined with all possible differences between us.

Interests

I've spent some time collecting both the practical and theoretical knowledge about 'the things around', now it's the high time to put my skills and energy into cooperation and creating some new value. I'm moving to Lisbon for few months and it'll be my first trial of living in foreign country - I'm curious how my travelling impressions could be compared to that experience.

But coming back to my interests and what hasn't been written yet. I'm in love with nature, in general :) It's more than enough just to admire it but what else I like is to observe and have the first hand experience on how people get along with the powers of nature. I'm a city girl myself that's probably one of the reasons why it has always intrigued me so much. I used to like all kinds of sports but now I just like to take my bike or walk away into a forest, to organize a trekking weekend or a short trip by the lake. That's the best way to recharge for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music
Recently I made a shift from the electronic side (wide range of specific currents: psytrance, through trip hop, to synth pop, or so) to appreciation of the living intruments and so now I listen much more to jazz, blues and ethnic music - just to estimate the direction - I'm still open for different stuff. And actually I'm not very much connected to the names, more to the sound ;)

Movies
Polanski, Jan Jakub Kolski, Wojciech Jerzy Has, Herzog, Kubrick, von Trier, Lynch

Books
Vonnegut, Gombrowicz, Lem, King, Kapuściński, Mrożek

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done some things I'm really happy about and the memories of them sometimes remind me that actually much more is possible than one can often feel like - they become my true speeding wheel when I need it.

The chosen one would be:
When reaching the Annapurna base camp - the goal of the 7 days trekking - we celebrated the spectacular sunset with all these unknown travellers from the farest destinations in the world, as if it was the best friends' New Year's Eve celebration. The next day I made the before-breakfast fast trek of 500 meters more high.. What I saw there, was just a true masterpiece of nature, that was amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like the conversations about anything that the other person is passionate about. I like really long conversations about both of us are passionate about - most often the first option becomes the second one when the discussion reaches the given level of abstraction and becomes about the life itself (no matter what the differences between the interlocutors are :) ) At this point, I think we can both share, learn and teach one another a lot!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can always share smile, willingness to hear the story and I can offer my help in advance or at least the will to listen to the offer ;)
