About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discover the good within

ABOUT ME

Human being... a pretty easy-going one though...

PHILOSOPHY

There's always three sides to every story: my side, your side and the truth.

Not exactly a personal philosophy, but not far off. That's my side anyway.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By offering what I can...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Outside of CS plenty both as guest and host.

CS experience limited but looking to expand...

Interests

I love photography, in particular taking abstract and macro pictures. You can see some of my stuff in the My Website link on this page.

The more I learn about it, the more I realise how much more I still have to learn! I suspect that it will take all of my lifetime and more to find the perfect photo... but in the meantime I'm happy to keep searching for a good while yet.

Oh, and did I mention photography yet? ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Hmmm... quite tricky this.

Authors I really like include Ben Okri, Ian Banks, Aldous Huxley, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Douglas Adams, Herman Hesse, Walter Mosely, Neil Gaiman and a whole host of others.

Favourite film directors include Luc Besson, Chris Nolan, Danny Boyle and my mate Chris.

Films I've really enjoyed include City of God, The Usual Suspects, Leon, Life of Brian, Amelie, Io non ho paura, La Haine, Memento, Clerks, Pulp Fiction, Trainspotting, Waltz with Bashir, The Tea Film (by my mate Chris!)... to be honest there's so many that thinking about it is making my brain ache.

Music: Pink Floyd stand out amongst the many.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First CS experience - my thanks go to those who generously let me into their homes and lives.

Teach, Learn, Share

As an ESOL teacher I would be happy to help anyone with a little English if necessary (don't want to be doing lessons though!).
As a photographer I'd be delighted to share all things photographic with anyone (although I probably wouldn't share my camera - the second biggest love of my life!)

Countries I’ve Visited

Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Slovenia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Italy, United Kingdom
