ABOUT ME

I am an easy going artist and philosopher. I spend my free time drawing, writing, thinking, taking pictures of tags, and leaving little origami frogs in coffee shops. I enjoy building things with my hands and getting in abstract conversations. I welcome any type of work trade and love to learn about people and culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Living in Portland with other former co-opers we have opened our house to couch surfers and artists. We have had over 100 people stay with us for varying lengths of time. We are all very excited about couch surfing ourselves and will continue keeping our house open to the community of couch-surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed the couches of student co-ops across the country. From Ann arbor Michigan to San Fran to Eugene to Portland. And had an amazing time in South America thanks to couch surfers.

Interests

Multimedia and Sociology. Interactive Art experiences, Art as cultural and social fabric. Time based sculptures. Online environments that motivate social change. Motivation and Art in relation to the demands of modern society.
Also, cosmology, theoretical physics, philosophy, pseudoscience, science fiction, theoretical politics, cats, dogs, tidepools, sandcastles, ideas, dreams, and ideas that comes from dreams about any of the above interests.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Koyaanisqatsi, Wizard People, Most blockbusters played in reverse to the local jazz radio station work pretty well I've found.

Music: Techno mixed with books on tape.

Books: Vonnegut, H.G. Wells, Lao Tzu, Camu, Hess.

Teach, Learn, Share

Basic Photshop and Flash AS2 lessons. Basic use of power tools and how to fix almost anything using vice-grips.
