About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To reach for the limits of my potential.

ABOUT ME

I'm just as clueless about everything as everyone is, I just don't pretend like I've got it all figured out :)

To give you a taste of what I'm like, I'll throw in a couple of adjectives:

Spontaneous, Acceptive, Ambitious, Honest, Persistent, Risktaking

PHILOSOPHY

A quote that pretty much sums it up

"All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness, experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves." - Bill Hicks

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Whenever I get the stroke of inspiration to wander off into the big wide world, CouchSurfing is the way I go. I host whenever I get the chance, as I feel sharing life lessons is really rewarding as everyone emerges richer for the experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Fun, inspiring, challenging, and mind-altering.

Interests

I usually waste my precious time here on Earth, by pondering questions that probably have no definitive answers...
I enjoy learning about a huge and diverse range of topics (including but not limited to): consciousness, human potential, philosophy, esoteric knowledge, advancements in science and technology, psychology, neuroscience, existentialism, transhumanism and all other kinds of nonsensical jibber-jabber :P

I have started meditating around the beginning of 2011 (I admit I occasionally skip a day or five), and I sincerely believe that raising one's awareness through mindfulness practice (or any other meditative/contemplative technique) is one of the fundamental skills of life, that one ought to take the necessary time and energy to master.

A lot of my energy is directed into lucid dreaming, which is basically experiencing the reality of dreams consciously and usually with heightened perception. The surge of awareness, which rises from the realisation, that the entirety of the world you are currently existing in, is a projection of your mind, can't be fully expressed in words (which is true of any human experience for that matter...), but it is mind-opening to say the least.

During the winter I spend quite a lot of time snowboarding and teaching snowboarding (I am a certified snowboarding instructor).

I'm also training Krav Maga.

Music, Movies, and Books

These are the works that I found really influential:

Books:
-Carlos Castaneda (Don Juan)
-The whole Ringing Cedars series (Anastasia)
-Anything and everything from Allan Watts
-Jack Kornfield - Meditation for beginners
-Shinzen Yung - The science of enlightenment
-Robert Anton Wilson - Cosmic Trigger (volumes 1, 2, 3)
-The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep (Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche)
-Conversational Hypnosis (Igor Ledochowski)
-The will to Meaning - V. E. Frankl
-Terrence McKenna
-Aldous Huxley - Brave New World
-
...

When it comes to music, I pick the songs that compliment my mood, so I have a huge arsenal of music at my desposal :P

-A lot of drum'n'bass (Feint, Camoo & Crooked, Liquicity...)
-Some softer and more melodic dub and dubstep (e.g. Blackmill)
-Kryptic Minds
-Parov Stelar
-Hanz Zimmer
-All sorts of chilled music
-ad infinitum...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I try not to differentiate between good and bad moments. I try to experience the fullness of each moment as it comes :)

But if I have to put my finger on it, the "trip" in Amsterdam was pretty f'in amazing ;)...

Teach, Learn, Share

I know this and that about modern psychology, lucid dreaming, meditation, eastern philosophy and that sort of thing :).

If you visit Maribor during the winter, I can also teach you how to snowboard.

As for the learning part (and I'm serious), I am truly and sincerely interested in anything and everything, that you think is worth sharing.

Countries I’ve Visited
