ABOUT ME

First off, there's two of us. We're a package & heading to Western Europe for May & June. We've known each other since we were 15 & have traveled lots together.
Marianna: I'm planning on moving to Victoria, on Vancouver Island, for school in August. I'll be stuck there for 12 months...hopefully I'll have a couch, if I'm not maybe a cardboard box ;)

Laura: I've been working as a registered nurse in acute medicine since I graduated University of British Columbia last year. I love to travel, meet new people & go out! I live in kitsilano a block above kits beach (the miami beach of vancouver) which is also where I work in the summer as a lifeguard. I'm also a retired synchronized swimmer. I have a nice couch with an amazing view of english bay.

We traveled through Europe meeting tons of CSers. Hopefully we can host some pples soon too :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We just got back from CS through Paris, Italy and Greece. It was amazing! The generosity and hospitality we encountered gives hope for the future of our world.

As for books we mostly read Dan Brown type books... probably not the deepest stuff but it keeps the pages turning! Or a textbook written in 1903...grrr Marianna still hasn't gotten over that one... ;)

View from Laura's apartment... amazing.

I saw a video on YouTube showing a baby buffalo that got attacked by a pack of lions, then got chomped on by alligators, and still got up and ran away. Thus proving the quote, "Whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger."
