About Me

CURRENT MISSION

feel satisfied with my contribution to the world

ABOUT ME

I am a twenty two year old Saskatchewan resident. I took my first trip overseas in '05, when I went with my girlfriend to Scotland and the Netherlands. We discovered couchsurfing, and it made our two month trip finantially viable. Since then I've spent my winters treeplanting in Britain and travelling in Europe with the help of this site, and all the wonderful couchsurfers along the way. I travel in hopes to be inspired, by the places i see and the people I meet, to create beauty, and to learn all I can of the world's cultures, while casting off my ignorance.

PHILOSOPHY

The world is full of promise, yet it must be sought out

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far, limited to crashing some couches in scotland, and one in Amsterdam. Also surfed in Toronto on my way home in April '07. April '08 I couchsurfed Italy from Milano to Avellino, for three weeks. My experiences continue to take my breath away. I hope to be able to host in the near future, or alternately facilitate visits to Saskatchewan for the friends I've made out there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My Partner and I spent oct-nov 2005 in scotland, staying at four different couchsites. '07 I stayed for four nights in Amsterdam couchsurfing, and in Oban Scotland, as well as Toronto, Canada. This past april I surfed with five couchsurfing hosts in Italy, over three weeks.

Teach, Learn, Share

Humans generally use only a fraction of their lung capacity, because we don't breath conciously. Try inhaling till there is no more room, and exhaling until there's no more air, and see how it feels to breath!
