About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to make music with my hands
ABOUT ME
I am an obsessive memory collector. This means that my favorite thing in the world is having wonderful experiences in which I change and grow and expand while at the same time helping the people around me change and grown and expand. I would love to be a professional music listener or book reader or movie watcher. I am from New York City but am currently in love with the city of Cape Town and the people who live here.
PHILOSOPHY
Listen to what others have to say...really listen. And no matter what you assume about a person, remember that you never know what they have experienced, so be humble.
Treat yourself as an art project. Everyday can be a new canvas if you want it to be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am new to the world of couch surfing, but I am thrilled that it exists and can't wait to begin hosting more.
Interests
Music, music, music. I play some guitar and enjoy nothing more then sitting back with a few friends and singin a tune. Every genre of music has something to offer... I like watching and playing most sports. Singing, dancing, picking my nose when no one is looking (and sometimes when they are). I adore relaxing. I think a healthy combination of staying very active and just shlumpin around the house is the key to a good life. It's all about the balance....

Music, Movies, and Books
Waking Life has been my favorite movie for a while. Recently saw and loved Dangerous Lives of Alter Boys (thanks londi). If you haven't seen the Korean made movie "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... And Spring", then check it out. The Hitchcock film "Vertigo"...mmmmmmmm. So good.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
a couple days ago I woman stopped my girlfriend and I in Washington Square Park and asked us to paint with her. Not knowing exactly what she was talking about we said 'yes' and followed her to a massive canvas laid out on the park ground. The canvas had a large circle drawn on it dived into 10 or so pie sections and at each section was standing a different person she had grabbed off the street like us. She gave us each 1 color of paint and then as a group, following her directions we proceeded to paint an absolutely beautiful tapestry. What was so amazing was that 10 strangers, of totally different ages and nationalities were able to come together and in about 30 minutes create a large and beautiful piece of art. It gave me hope for the future of human kind. (check out my pictures to see the finished product)
Teach, Learn, Share
