ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly, considerate, outgoing guy who loves meeting new people, having a laugh and learning as much as I can. Always keen to check out the nightlife of new cities!

PHILOSOPHY

Someone once told me "If you don't stand for something, you'll end up falling for everything", I try to remember this. But my basic philosophy I guess is to be yourself and to try and help people out whenever I get an opportunity.

After returning from 9 months travelling I'm now hosting people in Melbourne.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed throughout South America, so many great experiences, so many lovely people.

I have now hosted a bunch of people both in New Zealand and Melbourne.

Interests

I enjoy socialising, reading, writing (short stories, travel writing), the beach, treking (and general outdoor frolicking), live music, watching good movies, photography, basketball and volleyball.

Music, Movies, and Books

Fav books include The Catcher in the Rye, Franny and Zoey, The Great Gadsby, Lolita.
Favourite movies include Cinema Paradiso, Donnie Darko, City of God, Coffee and Cigarettes, The Return, The Science of Sleep, Pulp Fiction, Edukators, Taxi Driver, The Machinist, Amalie, Anchor Man and Napoleon Dynamite. I love so many movies that it's always difficult to list my favs. My favourite TV shows are Seinfeld, The Office, Da Ali G Show (I love all Sacha`s characters) and The Extras.
Favourite music: I have a long list of bands that I love, a lot of these bands fall into hip hop and punk/hardcore/indie music categories, but I like a pretty broad range of music. Currently favourites include (in no particular order) Arcade Fire, Come Back Kid, Ryan Adams, Calexico, Jeff Buckley, Bjork, lots of kiwi music (Fat Freddies Drop, Trinity Roots, Che Fu), Block Party, Early Day Miners, Fugazi, Imogen Heap, Jurassic Five, Roots Manuva and the Garden State Soundtrack!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing on the very peak of a 6088m mountain in Bolivia was possibly the best view of my life.
