Overview
About Me
Learning to listen. Overcoming fear, one step at a time. Drawing. Writing. Playing Kalimba. Baking. Planting.
I am a strange yet peaceful creature who lives in many worlds simultaneously (a blank page is a time/space machine). Creating is my loving muse and my relentless captor. I fall in love with many things and end up neglecting them all - like a starving hunter that is suddenly faced with the opening gates of Noah's ark, all the beautiful creatures and colours blasting to freedom, and the spear frozen in a cold lost hand. But sometimes i actually do something, put the spear down, and draw or write about the creatures i saw - and then the magic happens.
I don't neep apps to look at the night sky. I don't need Android 9.9 to avoid getting lost in beautiful foreign streets and forests. I love getting lost.
My shoe size is now 43.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
Lately listening to:
Rahsaan Roland Kirk. Leonard Cohen. Moondog. Bob Dylan. John Zorn's Filmworks series. John Fahey. Tom Waits. José Afonso. Old folk records from all over the world - thank you so much magical and kind person from the "Music Republic" blog!
Lately watched:
Strange old movies. Ingmar Bergman. Kurosawa, Miyazaki, Mizoguchi, Kobayashi. David Lynch. Jim Al-Khalili's BBC documentaries about atoms and quantum mechanics and other kinds of magic. I saw Woman in the Dunes (Hiroshi Teshigahara, 1964), recently, and my heart and brain almost exploded with beauty overload.
Lately read:
The One Thousand and One Nights. Jorge Luis Borges. Classical science fiction. Marquez. Ovid's Metamorphosis! The great Anton Tchekhov. Pearls of quantum mechanics. And what struck me most of all - the precious knowledge filtered by a man known as Jiddu Krishnamurti.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
What is done is done.
But everyday i look at the sky there is a huge ball of red/orange/yellow/white light and fire going down the horizon, just before night comes. You know what i mean?
Teach, Learn, Share
Much to learn from everybody.
I love to teach but very few want to learn. Latin languages? Basic drawing skills (analog or digital)? Creative writing or simple animation? Juicy sourdough bread? Exploring the hidden shores of the imagination?
My door is open.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Gambia, Germany, Guinea-Bissau, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Senegal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland
