About Me

ABOUT ME

I am from a quite anonymous town in Italy so maybe that is also one of the rerasons for which I like to travel and know as much as possible of the world. While studying I lived for 8 months in the States and 9 in Nottingham (UK), during my university years I went to central america for 2 months and I always tried to find some job in a foreign country to give me the possibility to stay for a while. I worked for 3 months again in England and other 3 months the island of Menorca. I think is a sort of addiction to the amazement of meeting people and learning about different cultures and ways of living the life. After I finished university in Italy I started working onboard of cruse-ships as entertainment staff, in the mediterranean and caribe. Since I really enjoy sailing I got a job in south of Italy as sailing instructor and afterwards I went back to the student life enrolling in a master course in tourism and leisure sociology at the university of wageningen. From september 2006 until february 2007 I have worked in Chile as a volunteer for a dutch NGO and now I am back in Wageningen for a while.
Last 2 years I worked as tour guide in Europe, ...now want to expand the borders....

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to read and watch movies that either surprise me or invite to reflection in an ironic fashion, without taking themselves too seriously.
For sure I dont like the hollywood style movies where the good guys fights and wins against one (or more) bad ones and get the female protagonist, usually grieving on the tomb of a friend that didn't make it....
Some of my favourite movies for example are "Underground" by Kusturica,"Le Haine" by Kassieuwitz, "Mediterraneo" by Salvatores,
while some of my favourite books are "100 years of solitude" by García Marquez, "Un viaggiatore in una notte di inverno" by Calvino, "Pulp" by Buckowsky and poetry by Shelley, Nicanor Parra and Bob Marley.
My favourite music is reggae, without any doubts, but I like almost every kind of music

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived for 5 months in the southernmost community of the world and could admire a really amazing nature: I crossed the atlantic ocean, swam with dolphins and (small) sharks and I swam in an underground river running through the caves made out of the roots of huge trees.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think that what I can teach better are languages (Spanish, English or Italian), sailing skills and food recipes: while for te learning and the sharing I would like to learn juggling and scuba-diving.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Mexico

Countries I’ve Lived In
