ABOUT ME

A small town Ohio girl who craved life in the big city I moved to Washington, DC after graduating expecting to be there for 2 years. Over 6 years later I quit my job, packed my life's possessions into storage and set off on my travels around the globe! After almost a year of travel I have finally settled down on the west coast to discover what California has to offer. Can't wait to explore!!!!

I would love to welcome the world travelers! It will help me adjust to being back in the working world. I could live vicariously through their experiences - I hope - and get out in the city and have a great time exploring this amazing, beautiful foggy city!

Interests

Traveling, of course!
Music, both playing the piano and listening to music, preferably live performances.
Taking really long, challenging, rides on my road bike.
Anything that gets me outside and into nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I prefer art flicks to mainstream but I must admit that the last movie I saw was Sex in the City.

Music: I am kind of an audiophile, of sorts. I live for music but I am highly selective of what I listen to. I tend to lean towards the more dark and obscure but I like almost anything except hard-core rap and country (although I seem to be making some surprising exceptions as of late) My favorites being Bjork, PJ Harvey, NIN, TV on The Radio, Gypsy Kings...

Books: Trying to think of what I have on my bookshelf...Dostoevsky, Jose Saramago, Diana Gabaldon, China Mieville....rather varied, I'll read just about anything, it's one of my favorite ways to pass the time!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Tongariro Crossing and swimming with dolphins in New Zealand, Camping in the Australian Outback, snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, cruising the Keralan Backwaters in India, standing at the foot of the pyramids in Egypt...my list is rather long at this point
