About Me

CURRENT MISSION

It has been a while since I travelled around the world when I was 19 - almost 10 years ago now! - and am very much looking forward to spending some time in Southeast Asia again. I am hoping to record a lot of sounds on this trip from the natural & urban environment as I very much enjoy this. I hope to meet a lot of nice people on the way and hope to share and learn new skills and knowledge as I do so.

At home here in Glasgow (Scotland) I have a small area of land in my back garden which I have been working on for the past several years and am very keen to at least make an attempt at providing some of the food of my own so that I am not tied down to buying food at supermarkets - I am very much an advocate of the phrase "Act Local - Think Global."

ABOUT ME

Currently living in Glasgow, I graduated from the sculpture course at the Glasgow School of Art in 2012. Since then I have been working as a freelance artist & technician, whilst also running several miniature FM transmitter workshops at various galleries and schools in Glasgow.

Once a week I also volunteer at a night shelter for asylum seekers here in Glasgow which I hope will in some small way help to provide support for them whilst finding themselves in such challenging circumstances.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was first introduced to Couchsurfing whilst travelling around the world back in 2007 at which point I had the chance to meet some fantastic people along the way.

I would like to start hosting people so that I can give back some of that magic which I discovered when I first started on my journey.
