ABOUT ME

ahh so much to say so little space to do it. i love traveling and getting lost and seeing the beauty in every crevice in places i happen to set upon. i lived in vietnam until 7 and then moved to the US. Since then i've spent some time in paris and now relocated to nyc. I am formally trained as a holistic nurse
Practitioner and feel passionate about contemplative practices such as meditation, yoga, energy works (therapeutic touch). I'd like to see these practices for self healing be accessible for all and not just people with money.
Matt my husband is an artist (sculpture)who shares a love of traveling. He spent a year in Sweden for school and loves to be in new places, exploring and trying new foods.

I recently quit my job and we are traveling in Southeast Asia for 4 months. We hope to experience this region of the world through new lens and forget every preconceived notions we may have had. We want to swim in oceans and dance on top of the mountains and meet and learn from everyone whose path we cross.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been on CS for quite a long time and have seen it change throughout the year. It is exciting to get back into this community and contribute to it in anyway: travel advice, hosting, being hosted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have hosted many CSers in France and also hosted by wonderful people throughout Europe. Have yet to experience CS in other parts of the world.

I have a wide musical taste. Recently we have been listening more to electronic music and minimalist techno. Have been enjoying gamelan music while in Bali, it is truly hypnotic. Books: Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind, most novels by Haruki Murakami, classics, Thoreau and Emerson

I could teach you stuff about the brain, how we form memories and emotions. I can also teach you how to cook,take care of wounds or yourself when sick, give advice on France (especially Paris), Europe, Viet Nam, and Northeast USA (Boston, NYC). Matt can teach you all you'll need to know about bikes, Sweden, metal fabrication, spelling, etc.
