About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live life to the fullest. To make friends all over the world and to see as much as I can.

ABOUT ME

I love animals, plants and people. I love traveling. I love good food and fun experiences. I like the beach and museums and dancing.

I have 2 dogs. Amber is a 70 pound mixed breed redheaded mutt. Jack is a Greyhound who is an ex-racer.

I have been to some really cool destinations, and I know there are many more places on the map that I will get to see in my lifetime!

PHILOSOPHY

Give everyone a chance, make people smile, be nice to the weirdos and nerds, have compassion for animals, children, elderly, don't lose your temper over dumb shit, work hard, and play even harder...Look at the sky every once in a while, take care of your body if you want it to last, challenge yourself, ask questions, don't be afraid to speak your mind, you don't always have to fit in, it feels good to be in love, it is good to sweat for a good cause, sunshine makes me happy, but so does playing in the rain, we can learn a lot from dogs... and kids.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted several amazing couch surfers. It is so much fun to meet people who are traveling through my town! I haven't been able to surf any couches yet, but I look forward to utilizing this site when I get a chance to travel!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After I graduated from college, I took a 2 week trip to Europe with a good friend. We went to London, Bern, Nice and Paris. In all of the locations, except Nice, we stayed with friends of friends. I think it was awesome for them to open their homes and play tour guide for a little while. Because of the hospitality of the locals, all of my experiences in foreign countries have been great ones.

Books: Anything by John Grisham, A Million Little Pieces (yes, I know it is fictional), Marley and Me, All Creatures Great and Small, Blue Like Jazz, The DaVinci Code, Angels and Demons, The Outsiders

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Can't limit this to just one thing:

Been to the top of the World Trade Center and looked out over New York City.
Been to Stonehenge and driven on the WRONG side of the road (English countryside!)
Petted a giant moray eel on the head in Cozumel

Teach, Learn, Share

Traveling alone is cool, because if you want to talk to someone, you have to talk to a stranger. I have met some cool strangers!

Learn how to say a few things in the native language of the country you are visiting. The people there will appreciate your effort and they will be more open and more willing to talk to you.

I am currently learning to speak French!

Countries I’ve Visited
