One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While living on the Big Island (Hawaii) I planned a trip over to Kaua'i (where I was born!). All I did was buy a ticket and arrived without a plan other than surrendering to divine perfection. I was told of Kalalau Valley and decided to go. Having never hiked or camped alone and the longest hike having done was a 6 mile snow shoeing excursion in Wolf Creek Colorado I set out on the 11 mile trail to the Valley! I packed in with a paracutte hamic and tarp that I found on the trail and found a beautiful Mango tree to call home for my stay. I was about 15-20 feet up in the tree and oh, how wonderful!
