About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to keep learning, teach the unknown, to make the box i live in bigger everyday and to have a good laugh while I'm at it!
ABOUT ME
I am outgoing and curious, yet need quiet time to myself to get back to square one. Having worked in the tourism and hospitality industry for 7 years, my love for meeting new people is well harnessed. I feel alive to learn about our individual differences and am continuously being re-educated on loving broadly.
Since returning home I have continued to overuse the word 'discovery'on a daily basis. But really it is about taking the opportunities that come and doing the best you can with what you have.
I know there are too many beautiful, if not fascinating, creatures out there to meet with, share with and love. It's foolish to miss out. Discovering is nothing less than a life long trek!
PHILOSOPHY
Work smarter not harder
Don't try to put in what's not already there
Everyone has a value that is worth validation and being valued.
This is actually of a friend - "Get down with your bad self"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to have a better understanding of any other person in this world. Everyone deserves acceptance. It's a human need and right!
It is liberating to climb out of a habitual hole that I didn't know that I had dug. My view of the world is now ever changing.
While it's hard for some to appreciate, I think that couchsurfing is a big fat diamond full of windows of opportunity, hope and eternal friendships!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Reggio di Calabria - one night whirlwind around town with a top bloke and his mate, Pepe!
Roma - A fabulous arrangement for a friend turned into a spectacular week of late nights for the happy threesome, elegant conversation and cuisine to die for! An unforgetable time and lifelong friendship!
Coffee meets - Plenty of fun meeting surfers in the city. It's the tree of Life!
Antibes - a quick night out for a drink has lead me to a most fabulous lifelong friend.
Interests
Relationships - as deep as the ocean is, no one can judge the depth of a moment shared between 2 people.
Cooking - I love to try the preparation of all types of cuisine. I'll give anything a go when I have the time to entertain and share it with. Latest...tajines!
Study of Wine and spirits gives me knowledge of different parts of the world and of course is lots of fun to drink with friends.
Sport is important to me - but in particular I enjoy long distance running and being out in the 'Great' outdoors. Just doing something differently keeps me feeling healthy and fit.
Languages fascinate me - and I love being able to translate and find the cultural meaning behind expressions.
Singing and music are ingrained into my being - I should spend more time grooving and practising.
Architecture also tells a lot about a culture and History. I would have liked to be an interior designer...someday....?

Music, Movies, and Books
Momentarily...Little Birdy and Eskimo Joe mixed with Camille and Michael Franti.
Books I've just bought 'La ferme des animaux' - in French and Italian.
Currently into See Naples and Die.
I need to devote more time to reading and absorbing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walking through a sea of ice at Mont Blanc
Clinging to a tuft of grass halfway up a waterfall in Switzerland, where there were bell-laiden cows and mossy green ferns all around me.
Teach, Learn, Share
Of all the fields you journey across, as you skate on thin ice, walk on the borderlines, tiptoeing along the cliffedge of reason and you venture unarmed into the dangerous caves of the unknown, above all this, know your hearts boundaries.
Never put cream in pasta sauces. It's lazy and should only be used to cover up a flaw in your cooking.
